Special Birthday Request
After a long day of celebrating her 4th birthday with her grandparents and siblings, Anna put in a special request for a Golden Hour photoshoot from mommy. She specifically asked for pictures of herself dancing, twirling and spinning to the sunset. She wanted to be a princess. The main character for that moment in time.
After agreeing to the photo session, she leaped for joy. She found the perfect dress... yellow, just like her bumble bee. Bumble bee is her stuffed animal/pillow that accompanies her everywhere. I am convinced she loves bumble bee as much as she loves her family. The mere thought of bumble bee being lost leads to pure devastation on her face. Speaking of which, I should try to find a backup just in case she loses it.
As we stepped out to take photos, it was absolutely beautiful out. The colors emphasized her love of yellow. She thrived as she was the object of the camera's focus. For the duration of her sessions, her siblings begged to join in. She finally allowed them to have one photo each. Yep, you heards me. One each.
Anna is fiercely independent. Taking photos of her and her sister was a reminder that no matter how independent she is, she will always need her big sister to look out for her. In the same breath, she will always need to be there for her baby brother too. He adores her.
